Management TeamOur business is about relationships, and we have a strong management team in place that understands this. Sam, Josh, Nathan and John are committed to furthering the development of our financial representatives through training and guidance, so the representatives can establish enduring and solid relationships with their clients.  Sam Theobald, CLTCManaging Director Sam Theobald, Managing Director, joined Northwestern Mutual in 2000. Shortly after starting as a Financial Representative, Sam was asked to step into management as a Field Director. In 2007, he was appointed Managing Director of the Sioux Falls District Network Office, which became the Theobald Financial Group. As a Managing Director, Sam continues to meet with clients to help them reach financial security as well as oversees all aspects of the district office. Sam works one-on-one with each Financial Representative to help them set their goals and gives them the support to reach them. Sam always has a positive attitude; he demonstrates business discipline and is a leadership team player. Sam ensures a positive support culture and high integrity in the office, which gives the Theobald Financial Group a strategic advantage to be the premier financial security firm in our region.  Josh Tirrel, CLTCField Director Josh Tirrel, Recruiting Field Director, has been with Northwestern Mutual since 2005. In 2007, Josh joined our management team to help develop financial representatives into highly professional and successful individuals. Josh is extremely involved in the recruiting and selection activities; as well as facilitatingmodules of Fastrack Sales School and Core Follow-up training. Josh takes personal interest in each new member of our team at the Theobald Financial Group, ensuring they get off to a fast start and feel that they have a strong team surrounding them to be successful.  Nathan Burns, CLTCCollege Unit Director Nathan became a full-time Financial Representative with the Theobald Financial Group in 2001, after completing the internship program while attending the University of Sioux Falls. With experience and passion for the internship program, he became a College Unit Director in 2008. Nathan is not only responsible for recruiting and training interns, but also taking a personal interest in their development and keeping them motivated on a daily basis. With his personal interest in the University of Sioux Falls, Nathan focuses a majority of his time recruiting interns from this campus.  John Kramer, MBA, CLTCCollege Unit Director John joined Northwestern Mutual in 2009 and was asked to be in management as a College Unit Director (CUD) with the Theobald Financial Group in 2011. As a CUD, John leads a group of energized college students through their participation in one of the top internship programs in the country. John helps to recruit, train, develop and motive the interns. As a graduate of the University of South Dakota, John primarily focuses on recruiting interns from his alma-mater. |
